More Circle Circus....

OK, so I have been on a bit of a 'CASE-ing' hunt for this set. it is such a great set and so many good ideas out there that at times you have to wonder if it is worth reinventing the wheel, so I decided to borrow other peoples' creativity and put my own slant on it!

Circle Circus

I thought I would give Snow Swirled a bit of a rest (for now!) and play with a set I have not inked yet despite having it for some time.

It is a really fun set with loads of potential. the first card I decided to make was one I cased from a lady called Elaine from SCS. Looking through I found a few more cards using the same idea so I don't think she was the original person to come up with it but she has used the idea beautifully. used different colours but matched them pretty much the same as hers and used different ribbon.

Card Recipe..

Stamps: Circle Circus, Short & Sweet
Card Stock: Chocolate Chip, Kraft, Baja Breeze, Close to Cocoa
Inks: Sahara Sand, Baja Breeze
Accessories : Small Oval punch, 1" & 1 1/4" circle punches, dimensionals

I liked this card so much I decided to make a tag for a customers order. She got special treatment this time round but I am trying to stop using plastic bags and have agreed with some customers I will give them paper bags with a tag with their name on and next time they give me an order just return the bag and I will return to them full of their goodies!

The next card I made I decided to go for bright colours, I love the contrast of a bright pink and black so I chose these colours. I even added some bling in the form of a Rhinestone Brad! I made this card 10.5cm x 10.5cm, it is a nice sized cards but now I have to make the envelope!!

Card Stock: Basic Black, Pink Passion, Whisper White
Inks: Pink Passion, Basic Black, Pink Pirouette
Accessories : Scallop punch, circle punches, dimensionals, fire round rhinestone brad, black grosgrain.

More Snow Swirled...

I decided to have a go at a demonstrator challenge on SCS. The challenge was to create a Christmas card but not use any of the following colours, white, gold, silver, red or green so off I went.

The first card I made was a very dark card, very unusual for Christmas. I embossed black snowflakes on a black card and added some dazzling diamonds and then I embossed the Christmas tree in black on Going Grey card stock. I wasn't at all happy with it so added some pink glitter to the top of the tree. I came back this morning to take a picture of it and actually I like it more now.

Card Recipe..

Stamps: Snow Swirled
Card Stock: Going Gray, Basic Black
Inks: Versamark
Accessories : Black EP, tombow adhesive, Super Nova glitters, Dimensionals, gray taffeta ribbon

The next two I made and only after making them I realised I had used green - doh!!

Card Recipe..

Stamps: Snow Swirled
Card Stock: Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango, Not Quite Navy, Whisper White
Inks: Versamark, Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango, Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze
Accessories : Clear EP, Tombow adhesive, Super Nova glitters, Dimensionals, Kiwi Kiss satin ribbon, heat & stick powder
Directions: I did use white card stock on this but I disguised it, I used daubers and inks to cover the white card and then clear embossed the Christmas tree and then sponged Not Quite Navy ink over the top of it all. For the card base I stamped the snowflakes using Versmark and then sprinkled with Heat & Stick powder, heated it and stuck on some orange supernova glitter.

Card Recipe..

Stamps: Snow Swirled, So Swirly Wheel
Card Stock: Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla
Inks: Versamark, Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango, Chocolate Chip
Accessories : Clear EP, Dimensionals
Directions: I clear embossed the background by using the wheel with Versamark, I also found that the little snowflake from the set fits nicely in to one of the flowers from the boho blossom flower punch.

I really liked this last card and was really annoyed when I realised I shouldn't have used the green so I decided to recreate it with different colours.

Gift Box

I received a box of choclates from a customer the other day, (thanks Lisa!) and I liked the box and wonderd if I could design a similar one which could be made from an A4 sheet of card stock, so I did!

Here is what I came up with and will be used as another Christmas Club project! I love making boxes and designing templates so there will be more in the future!

Snow Swirled...

I bought this stamp set relatively recently as I thought it had so much potential although when it arrived I just wasn't in the frame of mind to do anything with it, in fact it took me almost a a week to even mount it.

Eventually I did assemble the stamps but my MoJo was still lost so I scoured the Internet and found some gorgeous cards made from it and I cased them! So all the next cards are not designed by me, there are small changes but basically they are copied! I don't know who they all belong too so I shall give credit as much as I can!

This first one is very eye catching, the original card used a snowflake dry embossed background but I don't have that one so I used a swirly one as that suits the style of this set very well! I used the Big Shot to emboss the card.

I showed this card to the Christmas Club ladies and they all loved it so we will have a go at making this one next time round. I made three of them with different coloured glitters. The one above is obviously red, I made another one the same using the snowflakes from the set to decorate the background and blue glitter and the third one I made I decided to change the layout slightly and use orange glitter, I also used the So Swirly jumbo wheel for the background!

The original card was designed by InkyPaws.

Card Recipe..

Stamps: Snow Swirled, So Swirly Jumbo Wheel
Card Stock: Kraft, Whisper White,
Inks: Versamark, Whisper White, Sahara Sand
Accessories : White EP, tombow adhesive, Super Nova glitters, Dimensionals, White taffeta ribbon

Now this one is designed by Janette Olen, she used DSP at the top which at this point I don't have so I used the small snowflake from the set.

Card Recipe..

Stamps: Snow Swirled,
Card Stock: Red Riding Hood Red, Whisper White
Inks: Red Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze,
Accessories : Baja Breeze DSP, 1 3/8" & 1 1/4" square punches, scallop edge punch, Dimensionals, White taffeta ribbon

This card was designed by the person, or from the website 'Creative Daze'

Card Recipe..

Stamps: Snow Swirled,
Card Stock: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Bashful Blue, Whisper White
Inks: Chocolate Chip
Accessories : mat pack, Eyelet Edge punch, Markers, Chocolate Chip ribbon.

This one is just beautiful, I am not sure what colour the original designer used and I am not sure who the original designer was, but hers was just stunning. I used last years In Color, Purely Pomegranate, to make this one. It shows how well this set works with Baroque Motifs, another one of my favourite sets.

Card Recipe..

Stamps: Snow Swirled, baroque Motifs
Card Stock: Purely Pomegranate, Whisper White
Inks: Versamark, Purely Pomegranate, Basic Gray
Accessories : White EP, White Taffeta ribbon

This one was designed originally by Rhonda Griffin. I love this one, I didn't have the same sentiment stamp as her but I love this one, in fact even more than the one she used.

Card Recipe..

Stamps: Snow Swirled, Occasional Greetings
Card Stock: Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss
Inks: Versamark, Purely Pomegranate, Basic Gray
Accessories : White EP, White Taffeta ribbon

I am not sure who designed this card the first time, in the name of the file it says the name 'Sears'. I made this card in this colour way and in pink, my addition was glitter as I felt it needed lifting it a little.

Card Recipe..

Stamps: Snow Swirled
Card Stock: Lavender Lace, Whisper White, Basic Black
Inks: Black Stazon, Lavender Lace
Accessories : Sponge Daubers, Dazzling Diamonds, 2-Way Glue pen

Yikes...

How long has it been since I last posted? Far too long...

A few things have been going on at home which have required my arttention, I won't bore you with the details! It has meant time to craft has been very limited, I have only crafted when I have had to for a class or workshop and if I have found time to sit down then I found my creative juice, my MoJo, just wasn't flowing!

I have made a few cards though that I will share with you in the following posts.
